If you plan to apply for Tasmania’s Skilled Migration State Nomination Program, important updates could impact your pathway.
From 5:00 pm on Monday, 19 May 2025, Registrations of Interest (ROIs) will only be accepted from candidates with a Gold Pass.
What is a Gold Pass
The Gold Pass applies to candidates who
• Hold a valid skills assessment
• Are currently employed in an eligible critical role in Tasmania
If you meet these requirements, submit your ROI before 5:00 pm on Monday, 16 June 2025. After this deadline, no new ROIs will be accepted for the rest of the current program year.
What This Means for You
Migration Tasmania will continue processing applications already lodged but not yet finalised. However, with only a few nomination places left, not all applications will receive a nomination this program year.
If your application is approved after all places are allocated, your nomination will be processed once Tasmania receives its 2025- 2026 program year quota.
ROIs not invited to apply before the end of the current program will remain in the Application Gateway and will be reviewed once the next program year opens.
