ACT’s nomination allocation for the Australian Migration Program

The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Government can address the skills shortage and labor market needs via the state/territory nomination stream for the Australian Skilled Migration Program.

Every financial year, the Australian Government issues a fixed number of visa nomination places.

1800 nomination places are issued for 2024–25, which includes:
 ACT permanent 190 nominations: 1000 places
 ACT provisional 491 nominations: 800 places

ACT nomination starts with the Department of Home Affairs visa invitation, but it does not guarantee a
migration outcome. You have to meet the Department of Home Affairs visa criteria.
